sustainability & renewable energy

Renewable energy is derived from resources which are naturally replenished, essentially unlimited and of low environmental impact. These natural resources include wind, sunlight, waves, tides, geothermal heat, hydro and biological matter.

The change towards energy sustainability embraces reductions in energy demand through energy efficiency, meeting energy needs from sources of renewable energy, efficient electricity production and transmission. The implementation of renewable energy technology is essential for reducing the dependency on polluting fossil fuels and reducing CO2 emissions.

In the UK, the new renewable energy Feed-in Tariff will come into force in April 2010. The government has branded this scheme Clean Energy Cashback. The new tariffs will have a significant impact on the funding of renewable energy projects as they replace the current Low Carbon Buildings Programme grant scheme.

Resurgam Environmental aims to assist companies to efficiently achieve sustainable results by using renewable sources, offering specialised knowledge and applying internationally accepted methodologies and techniques. Resurgam Environmental is actively involved and has implemented and continues to explore technologies for improving energy efficiency and renewable energy.
